Skip & Loafer

I drew this piece as a tribute to one of my favorite scenes/episodes from the series Skip & Loafer. The two main characters go on a casual trip to the zoo — at this point in the story both characters are still trying to figure out if it’s a friend date or a date date.

I wanted to capture their natural friendship and connection, and I especially loved the panda keychains they got from the zoo gift shop. For the bg, I thought it would be fun to incorporate some of the visual design language from the manga covers, which usually involved a screentone and floral prints.
